Hey artists! Today we're going to learn how to make amazing art using just paper and glue. It's called quilling!

First, you will learn how to make different shapes out of the special quilling paper strips then how to make tight coiled circles, loose circles, teardrop shapes, scrolls that curl around, squares and triangles.

Then you will learn how to put a tiny drop of glue on the shapes so we can stick them onto our artwork. You'll each get a letter template - it can be the first letter of your name or whatever letter you want! The fun part is filling up the letter with the different quilling shapes and making your own designs.  Next we will move on to making flowers, butterflies, letters and other objects.

Then you'll get your own quilling tool, colorful paper strips, glue and a paper surface to practice on. Try making all the different shapes and sticking them down. See if you can make a flower or butterfly too! Don't worry if it's tricky at first, your teacher will be there to help.

Once you've got the hang of it, I'll give you your letter template. Then you can start building your design inside the letter line using creative quilling shapes and patterns. Get ready to make a totally unique 3D paper art masterpiece!
