Levels:Beginner to Intermediate.

A  workshop will present how to create a work of art in scratchboard.

Scratchboard is a hard masonite board covered with white clay and black ink. Any tool that can leave a scratch can be used such as X-Acto knives, wire brushes, and steel wool.

Mr. Harkins will provide you with guidance and information for all steps needed to complete your art piece including how to use various tools and techniques to create shading and texture. This will be a black and white scratchboard workshop but Mr. Harkins will demonstrate how he adds color to his work.

You will leave the class with at least one work of art.
