To say we are starting this year with a BANG is an understatement, so much is happening.

I apologize for not having any pictures of the "Introduction to Watercolor" class to post. There was so much material to cover and so much enthusiasm that I forgot to take pictures. However, in addition to learning about the materials, everyone learned the difference between wet into wet and dry brushing techniques and created very abstract works of art. They are now ready for Nana Gail Laurer's Class -- "Going With the Flow", which is already half full. If you plan to attend, register soon.

There were so many requests for the "Introduction to Drawing" (using charcoal) that we have scheduled a second class. This one is also free but we have also been asked to develop a drawing with pencil/graphite class and that is in the works are other opportunities to develop your drawing skills. There are two spaces left in this class. If you are interested sign up soon!

Lots of changes are coming to the Center. The Studios and main Gallery are being painted gray which enhances the colors of the artwork much better than before. There will be changes inside and outside as well, stay tuned as we are changing things up.

A great big THANK YOU to Chris and Jeff for their help!

Mark your calendars now for our first First Friday of 2023, February 3, 5 - 8:00 where we will present the artwork of Lee Valentine. His show, "Who" will feature many of his recent works. Join us to meet Lee, view and purchase his artwork and learn about his art journey -- 6:30.

ONE MORE --

We are cooperating with the George Washington Birthplace National Park to bring art classes and events to the Park. The first offering is a portrait drawing class with Celeste Johnston. Sign up early as there are limited spaces. See you there!
