Create Your Own Mandalas

Age Level: Adults

Today we're going to learn all about making beautiful mandalas. Mandalas are those really cool circular designs with lots of colorful patterns and shapes.

First, we need to pick the colors we want to use. There are different color schemes or ways to pick colors that go well together.

Next, we'll learn some mandala techniques to make the patterns. One is using dots, made by dipping the dotting tool in paint. Another is teardrop shapes. And we'll learn "walking the dot" by making a line of dots. We'll practice these on paper first.

As the class comes to an end, we will take a moment to reflect on the patterns and

color schemes we've explored today. The mandala is not just a form of

art but a symbol of unity, wholeness, and balance.
